Too Faced- The Chocolate Shop Christmas palette- Review + Swatches

Hello!

It has been a while since my last post and I hope you all had a great christmas and new year.

I personally spent it with family and friends which involved going to quite a few christmas dinners and stuffing my face with yummy food! I had received the palette that I am about to share with you today as a christmas present from one of my closets friend (who obviously knows what a make-up junkie I have become! )

So I felt it was very fitting to do a full review on this gorgeous palette as my first post of 2017.

I generally do not own many palettes and mainly do the same eyes looks over and over again, I just enjoying doing what I know suits me and use colours I like (which end up being naturals most of the time)

BUT this palette offers you more then just naturals! There are so many different pops of colours to chose from, that can take your everyday natural eye look to some a little bit more glam.

Not only did this kit come with eyeshadows, it also has three face powders (A bronzer, highlighter and a blush) The box that the palette came in also included a mini Too Faced chocolate liquid lipstick, a better then sex mascara and an eyeshadow primer. It really is a great all in one gift to give to someone, specially if they have not tried anything from this brand before.

Now as for the eyeshadows itself, I think they are great but I also think that it differ from shade to shade. The pigmentation is not the same across all shades nor is the longevity. You do get 21 shades and a mix of mattes, glitters and some more of a sheen then a glittery finish.

I have swtached them all with a brush since I felt that it was more of a truer tell of the pigmentation and quality of the shadows. I must say the mattes were not my favourites in this palette, some were a bit patchy and there are a few which look identical. However the the more glittery ones are gorgeous and I do not own any other palettes or single eyeshadows that are those colours!

The darker mattes in this palette do have a better payoff then the lighter shades. Although some of the lighter ones are great as an eyebrow highlight and even as a good base for whatever you chose to put on top.

They do however blend really nicely, I had no problem at all blending out any of the shades I have tried so far.

Butterscotch which is the is the second shade from the left, is one of my favourite as in sugared raisin which is the second one from the right. Sugared raisin popped on the centre of lids just transforms any eye look and is a stunning cool toned glittery eye shade. It is best applied with your finger tips.

Then you have sugar balls first one from the left and jingle berry second one from the left which are also stunning shades. I have become very into using jingle berry smudged out on my lower lash line, to add a little something extra.

The smell of this palette makes me hungry even time I use it! (Such a rich chocolatey scent)

The face powders are actually great, you get I believe one of their best selling bronzer, Chocolate Soleil and you get inner light which is a nice peachy warm highlighter and a nice pink blush.

The face powders are all easy to blend and have a good colour payoff to them.

I believe this palette is sold in Sephora and part of their christmas launch. I would recommend gifting this palette to someone as I think it is a great gift, even if not all the shades are perfect.

It comes in such a cute box and you do get a variety of products to play around with.

Hope you enjoyed this review and are having a great day!

Much love
